*The Gardarev Center is excited to introduce our two new board members: Bryan E. Glover and M.V. Lee Badgett.  Bryan is a leadership and life coach, spiritual guide, activist, award-winning arts producer, writer, and filmmaker.  He is currently the Deputy Director of Grants and Programs at the Bronx Council on the Arts, and also a producer and co-founder of the Obie Award winning, “Harlem 9” theater festival that promotes and celebrates the work of black and Latinx playwrights.  Lee, a Professor of Economics at the University of Massachusetts, has a longstanding record as an activist and scholar advocating for lgbt rights.  She is a co-founder of UCLA Law School’s LGBT think tank, The Williams Institute, and has testified before Congress and many state legislatures on behalf of lgbt rights.  Lee is the author of many reports, journal articles, bopks, and op-eds. Her latest book, The Economic Case for LGBT Equality: Why Fair and Equal Treatment Benefits Us All, is published by Beacon Press.  Much gratitude to retiring board members, Mushim Ikeda and Lisa Moore. You helped us launch this project and turn it into what it has become today.  We couldn’t have done it without you!
